Move-In
MOVE-IN SUGGESTIONS, DO’S AND DONT’S:
Our hope is that your time leasing with Crimson Rentals will be the best home rental experience you ever have. We want to return your entire security deposit to you. So please keep in mind the following as you move-in to your new home:
Command Strips, Screws and Nails
If using Command strips and hooks please use them properly as we have discovered that if they are not put on or taken off correctly the paint on the wall may peel. Please peel off the Command strips slowly to avoid removing the paint and drywall. The use of screws or nails may require painting and patching and those associated charges.
Furniture
Please be careful when moving furniture as it can markup or damage walls and flooring.
Toilets and Plumbing
Flushable wet wipes and feminine hygiene
products should always be thrown in the garbage. Do not flush these items as they are very rough on the plumbing and can cause drain lines and toilets to get clogged.
Garbage Disposal
There are food items that do not play nice with your garbage disposal and plumbing. This is not an exhaustive list but please do not put the following items down the garbage disposal and drain: grease, pasta, rice, fruit pits, bones, egg shells, coffee grounds, corn husks, and potato peels. Please throw these items in your trash. Grease can be placed in a disposable container and then thrown away in the trash after it gels.
Pest Control
If you have pests in your home there is likely something that you are doing that is attracting them into the home. Prevent pests by putting trash in containers outside, keeping the kitchen clean, making sure that food is put away in covered containers, and avoiding standing water. Feel free to spray around the home and inside the window trims as the weather gets cooler to prevent most of these pests from coming inside.
We will, upon request, send pest control once yearly to your home to be treated for pests. Thereafter, pest control is your responsibility.
